
For 9 months, Keith, Dan, and I baked 20 recipes to find the best chocolate chip cookie. The recipes came from websites, cookbooks, and our friends and family. We baked through every recipe we could find, with only one rule in mind: only 1 non-traditional ingredient was allowed.
The bracket tournament came up with 2 finalists: recipes from the New York Times, and Keith. We had a tasting party, and the crowd-favorite was the NYTimes cookie. However, if you don’t have bread and cake flour on hand, and you’d like a recipe that’s more “easy-going”, do give the other recipe a try.
