Executive Headshots • Bruce Stuart • Downtown San Francisco
I had the pleasure of working with Bruce Stuart again to update his headshots; he was part of a family whose family portraits I’ve photographed 2 years ago, and it’s so nice to work with him closely for his solo portrait!
It’s amazing to learn about Bruce’s accomplishments on Morgan Stanley’s website – his career progressed from his graduation with honors at Cornell University, the completion of his law degree at Albany Law School, then 14 years working for Wells Fargo before his current position as Vice President and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley.
For Bruce’s business portrait session, he wanted to focus on creating a confident, trust-worthy image to convey to his prospective clients. Before the session we discussed his desired image in length, then through the headshot session I walked through different prompts and exercises to bring out Bruce’s natural confidence. Also, he was especially proud of his weight loss after 4 months working diligently with a personal trainer and nutritionist. He looked fantastic and I needed to highlight his hard work in his headshots!
Here are 2 of the 3 final headshots that Bruce selected from our session. The first, horizontal business portrait was taken outdoors at the Embarcadero Center, with the planted bamboo as a backdrop that complemented the warm tones of Bruce’s red tie. In the second photo here, we went to the 2nd floor of the Ferry Building, where the windows and lights created a rich texture for Bruce’s portrait. I’ll save his third business portrait to post some other time!
It’s a wonderfully satisfying feeling to have connected with Bruce to capture his executive headshots, and to see the results of our session applied everywhere – on Bruce’s work website, his LinkedIn profile, and a print ad for his professional work. Thank you for a wonderful session, Bruce!
