City Hall Wedding • Heith & Guillermo • San Francisco
Heith and Guillermo definitely won the award for being the most dapper grooms I’ve ever met. I loved everything: the colorful bowties, the stylish leather shoes, and not to miss the invitations designed by Guillermo himself! Guillermo is a photographer as well and I certainly felt nervous initially… but the couple’s sweet and fun demeanor made it such a breeze to work with them.
I was so honored to be hired by their wonderful friends as the photographer at the intimate civil ceremony at the San Francisco City Hall. There was so much joy at the wedding, including the amazing moment when Guillermo’s best friend came in from New York City and made a surprise entrance!
As my readers may have noticed, I’ve been posting lots of City Hall wedding photos lately! I had a busy summer of shooting there, whether they were for straight or gay couples. Though these civil ceremonies are short (around 20 minutes), I enjoy being part of such a small setting and truly getting to know my couples during the session. It also helps that the San Francisco City Hall has such stunning architecture! (Seriously, you don’t really see the hoards of tourists in the photos but I promise they were there.) For every shoot there, I always try to find a new spot or angle to keep things fresh and creative. For example, at Guillermo and Heith’s wedding, I shot at the spot with the golden railing for the first time, and I love how the shots turned out!
Anyway, congrats to the adorable couple! 🙂
