San Francisco City Hall Wedding • Meghan & Ian
A Classic, No-Frills Wedding in San Francisco
Meghan and Ian wanted an easygoing wedding celebration in the city where they live. They kept their City Hall wedding ceremony elegant and simple, reserving the Mayor’s Balcony that overlooked the iconic City Hall staircase and inviting only their extended family to attend.
After the quick ceremony, I took them around some of my favorite spots at City Hall for some wedding portraits. These photoshoot spots included the little columned nooks throughout the 2nd floor, the wide staircase, and the light-filled 4th floor. We were then whisked away from City Hall by a 1947 Plymouth classic car to get some more portraits at Cupid’s Arrow on Embarcadero.
Wedding reception, family style
As food lovers, the couple treated their family and close friends to a wonderful banquet at the famous Wayfare Tavern. Without the typical wedding events like a first dance, cake cutting, etc, Meghan and Ian got their wedding reception to focus on what they love: their friends and family, and delicious food!
What a perfect day. Congratulations!
