A Photography Project with a Social Media Twist

I collaborated with The Hari Hotel in Hong Kong as a hotel interior photographer and social media influencer. This project allowed me to experience the hotel firsthand by staying in one of their luxurious suites while capturing the unique vibe of the hotel and its Japanese restaurant, Zoku. As a social media influencer, I collaborated with their marketing team to share about the hotel on my Instagram profile.

I took a mixed approach in the photography, first leveraging my expertise as an interior photographer. I aimed to showcase both the lovely spaces of the hotel and the intricate design details. The living area in the suite particularly inspired me, with its colorful textures and elegant furnishings. The large balcony offered a breathtaking view immersed with the city, which I made sure to highlight also in my shots.

Capturing the hotel’s design elements was crucial. I utilized wider angles to depict the overall design of the interiors, and also captured specific features that made the design stand out. Each photograph tells a story, inviting potential guests to envision themselves in this luxurious setting.

A Lifestyle Perspective for F&B

My experience extended beyond the suite as I turned my lens toward Zoku, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant. Here, I adopted a lifestyle approach, capturing the delicious food and beverages, with some shots I had my trusted “assistant”, i.e. my husband, to hand model for me. From beautifully plated dishes to vibrant cocktails, each shot showcased not just the food but the ambiance that made dining at Zoku special.

The layout of the booth seats created an intimate environment for every table, with the lighting warm and inviting. I paid attention to details like these to create depth in my images and tell the story of the restaurant.

Campaign About Local Hidden Gems

This project allowed The Hari Hotel to generate valuable visual content for their website, social media, and other marketing channels. In addition to my photography work, I shared my experience on my Instagram profile, which boasted over 39,000 followers. Through this campaign to highlight hidden gems in the Wan Chai neighborhood, my post also included my own favorite hidden spot, further enhancing the hotel’s connection to the local community.

Hospitality Storytelling

In conclusion, I truly enjoyed this collaboration with The Hari Hotel as a hotel interior photographer and social media influencer. By blending interior photography with lifestyle elements, I captured the essence of the hotel and its restaurant, telling their story through images to their audience.

Working with the team at The Hari truly delightful. By engaging with the hotel’s staff and understanding their vision, I was able to create images that reflect both the hotel’s identity and the guest experience. Each image served as an invitation to explore the hotel, showcasing not just the luxury of the space but the warmth of its hospitality. As I continue to work with hospitality clients, I look forward to telling more stories through my lens.
