Maternity Photos // Célia & Niels

Célia and Niels have been good friends of mine since their first arrival in Hong Kong almost 2 years ago. The maternity photoshoot we did in their neighborhood and favorite streets in Hong Kong was the perfect excuse for us to spend an afternoon together.

Niels, being the caring husband, coordinated the whole effort and we scheduled the shoot as part of their babymoon staycation weekend. He even borrowed the key to their neighbor’s rooftop, where they both climbed up a ladder to pose for photos. Honestly I was nervous when Célia was climbing up with her eight-months pregnant belly, but she was dedicated to the cause!

Though the skies were grey that day, we had no shortage of beautiful scenery to explore. The historic trees along Bonham Road, iconic red taxis, blooming bourgainvillea, old shop fronts, and of course the Hong Kong skyline all made perfect backdrops for our family portrait session.

Knowing that the two of them are leaving soon for Europe, I hope the images from this portrait shoot will help them remember the lovely memories and people of Hong Kong!
