Marriage Proposal // Megumi & David

I love a little bit of intrigue, which makes it so satisfying to help plan a surprise marriage proposal with my clients.

The moments leading up to Megumi saying yes to David were some of the most challenging for me as a photographer. David and I had met up before to discuss the details, but on that evening, there were very few patrons at the restaurant, so my presence there, especially with a long telephoto lens, was very conspicuous.

I sat far from the couple’s table, and pretended to be snapping photos of the restaurant’s interiors. It all turned out perfectly!

After the proposal, the couple stayed at their table to finish dessert, and we finished the evening with some portraits inside the Peninsula Hotel, and at the Tsim Sha Tsui harborfront. A memorable night spent with an adorable couple!
